Coodes Solicitors, one of the South West's longest established law firms, has unveiled a bold new identity to drive the firm's growth ambitions and deepen relationships with clients.
The firm, established in 1747, has eight offices across Cornwall and Devon and is recognised as a leading law firm in both the Legal 500 and UK Chambers and Partners guides.
The new identity, which is being gradually rolled out across the firm, is based on the concept of 'Your Law Firm For Life'. The dot at the centre of the new 'C' logo symbolises the client, protected by a strong circle of Coodes support, for all of life's most significant moments.
Peter Lamble, Chairman of Coodes, said: "We celebrated our 275th anniversary in 2022 and that gave us pause to reflect on what clients value most from Coodes. The answer is the support, reassurance, protection and guidance we provide them, at whatever stage of life.
"They know they are always in safe hands and that we'll get them where they need to go. Those values have underpinned the firm from day one and keep us rooted in the communities we serve. The new identity for Coodes is designed to express that in a reassuringly confident and welcoming way, with our clients at the centre of everything we do."
Coodes employs over 170 lawyers and support staff, providing a range of legal expertise for individuals, businesses and organisations across the region. It continues to invest significantly in training and development as it pursues its ambition to be the law firm of choice for all that matters in life.
In 2022 the firm appointed a record seven new business owners, all women, taking the total number of business owners to 13 as the firm grows its future pool of talent. It is the first time in the firm's history that there are more female partners than men.
Coodes has also been modernising its offices with more flexible working practices and remains committed to the highest standards of social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.
The firm remains dedicated to social mobility, providing training opportunities for people in Cornwall and Devon, and supports local communities by hosting free legal clinics and a range of charities through fundraising.
