Chamber Business Awards 2023: Flexi-Hex Crowned ‘Winner Of Winners’

An innovative plastic free packaging firm from Cornwall has been named ‘Winner of Winners’ at the British Chambers of Commerce ‘Chamber Business Awards 2023’.

Flexi-Hex make sustainable honeycomb designed sleeve packaging, made from 100% recycled paper pulp. The firm, which was founded by twin brothers, Sam and Will Boex in 2017, has now sold more than 2 million packaging sleeves.

The brothers set up the company after they noticed the large amount of plastic packaging that was used to wrap a new surfboard they had ordered. Their creative product now includes packaging for surfboards, bottles, electronics and sunglasses.

Flexi-Hex's success was announced at the annual Chamber Business Awards event, held this afternoon (Thursday 16th November) at the London Stock Exchange. Over 150 businesses from across the UK were nominated by Chambers across eight categories. Flexi-Hexi also bagged the Game Changer award.

The awards, now in their 20th year, are one of the showpieces of the business calendar, highlighting the role of firms in delivering growth and prosperity for the UK and local communities.

Will Boex, Co-Founder and Operations Director of Flexi-Hex, said

“We’re absolutely thrilled to receive this top award which recognises the great work of our team. We are proud members of Cornwall Chamber of Commerce, which makes a real difference, connecting and supporting businesses like ours.

“Our mission at Flexi-Hex remains the same as it has from day one. We’re a regenerative business – one that leaves behind more than it takes out.
