About Us

WILD is an award winning charity that has been working with young parent families since 1992.
We are the biggest specialist young parents charity in the UK, and we are well-known locally and nationally. We’ve won the Kings Fund GSK Impact Award, the Queens Award, and the Guardian Charity Award.
At WILD we want young parents and their children to be healthy, happy and safe, with better life chances and aspirations
Young parents want to be good parents, active community members, and provide for their family, but they often have vulnerabilities that get in the way of them achieving this.
Young parents and their children experience increased risk of ill health, poverty, abuse and harm. The children of young parents have higher rates of infant mortality, illness and accidents.
We provide a whole-family service for young mums, young dads and their children. We run weekly groups for young parent families across Cornwall, as well as online sessions. We offer individual family work to support those with more complex needs, and our Children's team help parents build positive attachment and parenting skills. We also run specialist projects, including music, sports, domestic abuse, arts and peer mentoring.
