The Diocese of Truro is the organisation behind the Church of England in Cornwall, and its size and scope might surprise you.How often have you driven past a church in Cornwall and not noticed it? You may have seen the building but somehow not have registered it - because it is just there v¢‚Ǩ¬¶ it has always been there, a part of the landscape, just where you would expect it to be. Have you ever wondered what our landscape would look like or feel like without a church building?In Cornwall there are more than 300 Anglican churches and they are looked after by an army of volunteers. They are down-to-earth people who love doing what they do and want to make sure there is a church for future. There are more than 5,000 volunteers throughout Cornwall who willingly give their time to make sure we can all enjoy the value - and values - our churches bring.But the church is not only about the buildings. It is what happens in and around them: the baptisms, weddings, funerals, the garden fetes, the social events - to say nothing of the social and spiritual support offered to individuals and the community as a whole. It allows for fellowship, love and care for everyone in our communities. So what has this to do with business?
