Sam Perkin, Lecturer at Falmouth University
Sam has 30 years of experience in business management and finance. She has worked in many SME businesses and franchises. She enjoys the practical side of business management. Samantha has taken a leading role in a program of producing e-learning modules for AAT and fellow accounting professionals. AAT have won awards for the quality of these products. This process involved producing clear information aimed carefully at the targeted readers.
In a voluntary capacity, she is on two of The Association of Taxation Technicians Members Steering Group. She ispast Chair of AAT Cornwall, which won Best Branch in the UK in 2012.
Her role at Falmouth University gives her the opportunity to help a new generation of business owners to balance their businesses. Understanding that financial records underpin strategic and environmental decisions. Encouraging this generation of influencers to think about the complete picture of People, Planet, and Profit as they begin to change the business world for the better. She aims to develop leaders of tomorrow who specialise in innovative, thoughtful, and respectful business.
Oliver Thompson - Smart Working Revolution
Here is Olly thinking about psychological safety.
Oliver Thompson is the Director of Revolution for the Smart Working Revolution, a workforce transformation practice based in beautiful Cornwall, but with a global client base. With over 25 years’ business experience, Oliver is a celebrated Keynote speaker, author, corporate trainer and executive coach. Olly works with leaders and organisations who want to transform productivity utilising the smart business wisdom.
As a Facilitator of the Smart Working Revolution’s leadership programmes, Olly provides managers with a combination of neuro-linguistic learning, behavioural psychology insights and practical leadership techniques which are necessary for the modern ways of working. At the March Connected Lunch, he will be sharing his thoughts on the importance of psychological safety on the wellbeing of employees.
Matt Greaves, Head of Marketing at Wildanet
Matt Greaves is Head of Marketing for Wildanet and responsible for all PR and corporate communications. Matt joined Wildanet in 2020 and in that time, has helped the business launch a new brand and deliver multi-channel regional PR and marketing campaigns. As well as being responsible for all communications to help promote the roll-out of Wildanet’s Full Fibre network, Matt also oversees the PR and communications around Wildanet’s many environmental and social projects, including the coveted B|23 programme, Wildanet’s B Corp certification and tree planting initiative as well as providing support for the attainment of Wildanet’s many industry awards.
