Get ready to be inspired as we turn our focus towards innovation whilst learning about The Wave Project with the University of Exeter.
Using academic research, the University of Exeter has designed the “Innovation in the wilds” series including this event with The Wave Project - the surf therapy charity. These inspiring, educational sessions are based on business innovation and to explore discussion away from traditional learning environments.
1000 hrs
You will meet the team at the St Ives Surf Life Savers club located on Porthmeor Beach. You will get to hear about The Wave Project, its purpose and aims. There will be an introduction to the University of Exeter and its work in Cornwall.
1030 - 1300 hrs
We will take part in a wet training session to give you a feel of what work the charity does and how the training is conducted for volunteers.
We will provide lunch. Please bring your own refillable water bottles.
We will need you to bring:
Warm Clothing
Towel/Wetsuits - we recommend 3mm or 4mm - we can borrow wetsuits if needed - we will be in touch regarding this.
Please note that the changing rooms are communal.
You will have the opportunity to network in a different more informal environment that has proven to improve your natural pitch.
