The Future is Green project is part-funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly.

Find out more about the new ‘The Future is Green’ project. Meet local businesses already working in industry, University of Exeter’s Business School and Engineering academics, and the key topics we will be exploring through our one-year delivery, such as circular economy; construction and heat pump design/integration, and renewable energy (Floating Offshore Wind).
This project runs from January 2024 to March 2025, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Open to individuals aged 16+, this kick-off event will provide a fantastic networking opportunity, whilst increasing confidence, knowledge, and awareness of the Green Skills needed for the future.
Project Announcement - The Future is Green
The Future is Green is collaborative research project that delivers skills development courses and programmes to individuals across Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly to support the development of skills needed for the future green economy, particularly focused around the high growth potential carbon reduction strategic sectors across Cornwall and the Isles of Scilly (C&IoS) including energy & power and construction & heating. The project runs from January 2024 to March 2025, funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
